GREG SMITH Composer, arranger, and pianist
Greg Smith is an Australian composer and pianist based in New South Wales. Greg majored in piano and composition at The University of Newcastle, completing a Bachelor of Music with first-class honours with a university medal in 2001. He completed a Master of Creative Arts in piano performance, studying Russian piano music, in 2003. Greg has performed as a soloist and accompanist.
Greg’s compositional style is diverse, including chamber music, choral music, film music, and music theatre. In 2010, Greg’s setting of The Lord is King (Psalm 92) won the Fourth Annual Anthem Competition of the First Baptist Church of Worcester, Massachusetts. Greg has also composed silent film scores for Australia’s Silent Film Festival.
